Understands almost everything at normal speed, yet occasional repetition may be required..

SOLUTION:

Read a paragraph or a short story and let them ask questions if they understood. 

Select and read short, simple listening texts and repeat the sentences frequently.

SPEAKING: 

Uses vocabulary adequate for informal communication/self-involved, sounds confident in conversations

SOLUTION:

Read a lot and strive your best to learn the correct pronunciation of words.  Listen to English Speaking Materials. 

Watch American movies or shows and try to mimic their accent.

Pronounciation skills: 

Slightly inaccurate pronunciation on unknown words but is usually understandable. 

Not much knowledge on stress and liaisons.

SOLUTION

Speak in front of the mirror. Speaking English requires a person's mouth to move in specific ways. 

Speaking in front of the mirror can help a person develop the correct tongue, lip and jaw movements. 

Spend several minutes watching yourself speak.

VOCABULARY:

Has limited vocabulary but has the ability to produce sentences using good and appropriate English words. 

Has repetition and redundancy in words. 

SOLUTION: 

Keep reading English articles to enrich your vocabulary more. 

Always practice talking in English so you’ll never forget those vocabularies that you have studied.

Challenge yourself more by learning difficult words and idiomatic expressions

GRAMMAR: 

Can produce basic grammatically correct phrases or sentences to the questions but missed many parts.  

SOLUTION:

Enhance Refine sentences in a clear and understandable manner.  

Educate about appropriate language to use in a specific question. 

 Review the basic tenses and educate about complex tenses, comparative and conjunctions. 

RECOMMENDATION OF TEACHER:

Yun is wonderful to talk with and she’s interactive. She has a good comprehension skill. She understands almost all questions at 

normal speed, yet occasional repetition may be required. Also, she can speak English well but she sometimes has a hard time to 

express her own ideas and put it into words and she needs to gain confidence in conversing using English language. Has limited 

vocabulary but has the ability to produce sentences using good and appropriate English words. She just needs to communicate with a native speaker regularly to enhance her speaking ability and eventually polish her pronunciation and develop good confidence. I recommend SBS 1 or 2 and Interchange 1.
