In class, Sophia has spent 1) too more time typing sentences and 2) too more time learning simple grammar like "there be...". As you know, Sophia has already learnt these things in middle school and what she studies in school now is much more complicated. I hope in ClassIn, Sophia can improve spoken English level sharply because her oral English is much poorer than her written English. Please ensure to focus more on speaking and less on grammar and typing.

Example: Sophia: My favorite place is the BUND. April: Is this a water front area in central Shanghai? Sophia: I’m sorry. April: …Yeah, this is correct. 1. Sophia did not catch what April said, finally April skipped this sentence. I hope April can repeat the sentence. If Sophia still could not understand, kindly write it down immediately on the blackboard and say it again to impress her. It’s the very important way to help her improve oral English. 2. Sometimes, Sophia can’t express herself in good English, hope April can teach her how to say in a better way. For something complicated, April may write down what Sophia said in blackboard and correct her immediately. 3. If Sophia can’t express herself, April may encourage her to say something relevant and then help her to speak out the sentence. 4. The more practice of spoken English is the better.
